A little clarity.
A more comfortable stay.
From choosing the right home to finding your Wi-Fi, here are answers to the questions guests ask most. Settle in with a little less guesswork.
Choosing your home
A little planning makes settling in easier.
01 Where are DeSoto Comfort homes located?
Our homes are in DeSoto County, Mississippi, including Southaven and Olive Branch. Check the location on each listing before booking, and ask us about the drive to the places you plan to visit. Your reservation provides the address for your stay.
02 Will I have the whole property to myself?
Check the specific listing carefully. Some stays are entire houses, while others are separate units on a property with more than one rental. Separate entrances do not always mean a separate building. Ask us which living spaces, driveways and outdoor areas are private or shared before booking.
03 Are bedrooms downstairs, or will I need to use stairs?
Layouts differ. For example, our Olive Branch home has its bedrooms and loft sleeping area upstairs. Other units have different entry and floor layouts. Tell us about any mobility needs before booking so we can confirm entry steps, bedroom locations and bathroom access for the home you are considering.
04 How can I check the beds and sleeping arrangements?
Use the bedroom and bed details for your chosen listing. A loft or daybed area may be a sleeping space without being an enclosed bedroom. If your group needs separate bedrooms, particular bed sizes or a downstairs sleeping area, ask us to confirm the layout before you reserve.
05 Can I book for a work trip, relocation or longer stay?
Yes, we consider longer stays, including monthly stays, subject to availability. We have also worked with corporate and insurance-related bookings. Send your dates, group size and any billing or booking requirements so we can review a suitable home. Rates vary by home and dates; there is no single flat monthly rate.
06 Can I extend my stay or change my dates?
Message us as soon as your plans change. Extra nights depend on availability, and a change may affect your total price and booking terms. If you booked through a platform, use that platform’s reservation-change process as directed. A request is not confirmed until your reservation is updated.
07 What are the cancellation, deposit and payment terms?
Review the terms and total shown for your selected home and dates before confirming. Cancellation rules, payment schedules and any deposit requirements depend on your reservation and booking channel. If something is unclear, ask us before paying; a past guest’s arrangement may not apply to your stay.
Check-in & getting settled
The essentials for a smooth first day.
08 What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in begins at 4:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am, local time at the home. Please allow us that preparation time between guests. Any earlier arrival or later departure needs advance approval.
09 Can I check in early or check out late?
Please ask in advance and tell us the time you need. Approval depends on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If we can accommodate the request, a $25–$50 fee applies; we will confirm the timing and fee with you. Please do not arrive early or stay late without that confirmation.
10 Can I drop off luggage before check-in?
Ask us before heading to the property. A luggage drop-off also depends on access, cleaning and the previous guest’s departure, so it is not automatically included with your reservation. We will let you know whether it is possible for your stay.
11 How do I get my arrival instructions and door code?
Check the arrival guide and messages for your reservation. Use the entry instructions sent specifically for your home and stay. If you cannot find them, contact us through your booking conversation before you travel so we can help you arrive prepared.
12 Is a late-night arrival possible?
A late arrival can be accommodated; please tell us your expected arrival time in advance and review your home’s entry instructions before traveling. Arrive quietly, follow the designated parking instructions and be considerate of neighbors during quiet hours.
13 What if the arrival-guide link or door code does not work?
Message us through your booking conversation and tell us which home you booked and what you are seeing. If a guide link will not open, ask us to send the relevant instructions in a message. If you cannot enter, contact us for help rather than trying another unit or forcing a lock.
14 Where should I park, and is a garage included?
Use the parking directions for your particular home. Some homes have garages, while multi-unit properties may have separate driveways or designated spaces. Do not assume another unit’s driveway or garage is included. Ask ahead if you have multiple vehicles or need a particular kind of parking.
Amenities & everyday comforts
Choose the details that matter to your stay.
15 How do I find the Wi-Fi details?
Check your home’s arrival guide or house information for the network name and password. If you cannot find them, message us through your reservation. Credentials are shared with guests privately rather than posted on this public page.
16 Can I work remotely, and what if the internet has a problem?
Tell us before booking if you need a particular internet speed or workspace setup so we can check the home you are considering. If the connection drops during your stay, let us know promptly and describe the issue. Please ask before unplugging equipment, as it may support other connected-home devices.
17 What kitchen and coffee supplies should I expect?
Check your listing’s kitchen amenities, and ask us about any item important to your plans. Several homes use pod-style coffee makers, but the setup can vary. If you bring your own coffee, including decaf, confirm the machine type first so you bring compatible pods or grounds.
18 Is there a washer and dryer?
Laundry facilities are available at several homes, but check the amenity list for your specific rental. If laundry access is essential for your trip, ask us to confirm the setup before booking. During your stay, contact us if you need help finding or using the machines.
19 Are a travel crib or high chair available?
These items are available at some homes. Tell us what you need before booking so we can confirm availability for your particular home and dates. Please do not assume baby equipment shown or mentioned for one home is provided at every property.
20 How do the TVs work?
Some homes have smart TVs with streaming access. Check your listing or ask us about the setup if a particular channel or service matters to you. Follow the in-home instructions, and sign out of any personal streaming accounts before you leave.
21 Is there a grill, pool or fire pit?
Outdoor amenities vary by home; not every home has a pool, grill or fire pit. Review your listing and ask about availability, grill type and any supplies you should bring. Some grills are charcoal. Use only the amenities included with your rental and follow the posted instructions.
22 How do I get help with an appliance, fan or missing item?
Please message us while you are at the home. Tell us which item you need help with and, if useful, include a photo. We would rather help you find a switch, locate supplies or address a problem during your stay. Stop using anything that appears damaged or unsafe.
Pets & outdoor spaces
A good fit for you, your pet and the home.
23 Can I bring a pet, and is there a pet fee?
Pets require an agreement with your host in advance. Tell us the type, number and size of your pets and how they will be secured when unsupervised. We will confirm whether the home is suitable and whether any pet-related charges apply to your reservation.
24 Is the yard fully fenced and private?
Fencing differs significantly between homes, even at the same property. Our detached one-bedroom unit has been described with its own private fenced outdoor spaces, while the larger home on that property has an unfenced yard. Confirm the current setup for the exact unit you are booking, especially if you are traveling with a pet.
25 Can I leave my pet alone while I go out?
Discuss your plans with us before your stay. Approved pets should not roam freely in the home when unattended; dogs left alone should be crated as agreed with your host. Please keep pets off beds and furniture, clean up waste promptly and keep them under control outdoors.
26 Do pet arrangements apply to assistance animals?
Assistance animals are handled in accordance with applicable law and the policies of your booking platform. Contact your host through your reservation if you need to discuss arrangements for your stay.
House rules & peace of mind
Clear expectations help everyone relax.
27 What are the quiet hours?
Quiet hours are 9:00 pm–8:00 am, local time. Keep noise at normal conversation levels and avoid loud music at any time. At homes with nearby or adjoining units, sound can travel through floors and walls. Let us know if noise is affecting your stay so we can address it.
28 Is smoking or vaping allowed outside?
No. The entire property is smoke-free, including the home and outdoor areas. Tobacco, marijuana and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property. Please plan accordingly before booking and share this rule with everyone in your group.
29 Can family visit, or can I host a celebration?
Please discuss visitors with us in advance, especially at homes with neighboring units or limited parking. Parties, celebrations and other events require your host’s permission before you make plans. Tell us before adding overnight guests, and stay within the home’s listed occupancy limit.
30 Can I book a home for someone else?
The person making the reservation should be staying at the home unless an alternative arrangement is agreed with the host and guests in advance. If you are booking for employees, family or an insurance placement, explain the arrangement before booking. Identity verification and an accurate guest count are required.
31 Are there security cameras?
An exterior doorbell camera monitors the entrance as described in our Rules & Safety information. Check your specific listing for its device disclosures before booking. Please do not unplug or tamper with security or connected-home devices; contact us if you have questions about them.
32 What should I do if something breaks or needs attention?
Tell us promptly through your booking conversation, including the home name and a brief description. Photos can help us understand the issue. Please report spills, damaged items, leaks and maintenance concerns during your stay so we can arrange help. For an emergency, call 911 first.
Check-out & staying in touch
A few clear steps before you head home.
33 What do I need to do before checking out?
Follow the checkout message for your specific home and leave by 11:00 am unless a later departure was approved. Check for belongings, wash dirty dishes as instructed, place used towels where requested and take trash to your designated bins. Close and lock up according to your home’s instructions.
34 Do I need to wash sheets or turn off the heating and air conditioning?
Please follow the departure instructions sent for your particular home. Do not start extra laundry or change heating and air-conditioning settings based on assumptions. If the message is unclear, ask us before you leave so we can confirm what is needed.
35 Where do I put trash, especially at a multi-unit property?
Use only the bins designated for your rental and take trash out regularly. Bin locations can differ from one unit to another, so follow your home’s instructions. If you cannot find the correct bin, message us rather than using another unit’s garage or storage area.
